Walla Walla University Alumni Association Board Officers and Members

Officers. The president-elect is elected annually and will serve a three year term-- one year as president-elect, one year as president, then one year as the board chair. The board secretary and treasurer will serve staggered two-year terms. All other members will serve three-year terms.

 

 

Board Chair

Brad Davis, (Term: 2009-2012), is a 1980 business administration graduate. He and his wife, Susan, have two children, Brent, a recent WWU graduate, and Justin, a current WWU student.

President

Clarence Anderson, ’78 (Term: 2010-2013), is president and CEO of Blue Mountain Credit Union. Prior to that, he served as the Dean for the School of Business at WWU. Anderson serves as a Commissioner on the County of Walla Walla Housing Authority board and has previously served on the Blue Mountain Action Council Board.

President-Elect

George Fearing, ’79 (Term: 2011-2014), practices law in Kennewick, Wash., and has previously served on the Alumni Fund Committee. He is an accomplished author of several books and has taught multiple seminars. His father is a former pastor of the College Church.

Secretary

Loree chase-Waite, '95 (Term: 2011-2013), is the communications director for Tell It Media in Walla Walla, Wash. She has previously worked as a health reporter for nationally syndicated publications. She has written for Westwind and other periodicals.

Treasurer

Matt White, ’02 (Term: 2010-2012), is a commercial loan officer at the Bank of Whitman. He and his wife, Carrie, have three-and-a-half year old twins, Landon and Lillian.

Board Members for 2010-2011

Two board members are elected annually for three-year terms.

Heather Jarnes '02 is a consumer underwriter at Banner Bank in Walla Walla. She and her husband have a one-year-old daughter named Veronica.

Alan Coffey ’79 is the CEO for Coffey Communications, a family-owned advertising and marketing agency based in Walla Walla. He was awarded the 2009 Alumni-of-the-Year award from the WWU Alumni Association. He is married to Sherilee, and they have a stepson named Seth.

Jeremy Beam '00 lives in Walla Walla, Wash. with his wife Angela (Wallace) '00 and their three children. Jeremy is a doctor of optometry at Valley Vision Clinic. He enjoys the many outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest.

Felix Tan Too-Khiang '90 works as a clinical microbiologist at the Walla Walla General Hospital. He also serves as the pathfinder director for the University church. He is married to Khai Ling Tan '88 and they have one daughter together.

Lorraine Jacobs graduated in 1989 with a major in history. She currently works as the publication attorney for the Oregon State Bar.

Jim Hall is a 1965 business administration graduate. He retired from WWU in 2008 after three decades there. He and his wife, Ruth, have three grown children: Greg, Mark and Julie.
