Germany Alumni Tour - March 2-9, 2011

Join alumni and friends from Walla Walla University for a German Reformation Tour March 2-9, 2011 with special guests Don and Marti Schneider.

Trip Details: A private tour bus will take you across Germany as you explore cathedrals and other sites in the life of Martin Luther, as well as visit the Berlin Wall, Hitler's Bunker, Checkpoint Charlie Museum, Pergamon Museum, Dachau Concentration Camp, Johann Sebastian Bach's Home and Neuschwanstein Castle.

It is a week-long adventure full of spiritual and historical insight unlike any other experience. Don and Marti Schneider will serve as the tour guides and provide a wealth of historical context and spiritual knowledge that will forever change the way you look at Martin Luther's life. It is a once in a lifetime experience you won't want to miss!

Cost: $875 per person, plus airfare

The cost includes all ground transportation, all hotels, two meals per day, entry fees to 15 plus tourist sites and complete travel insurance during the trip. Persons requiring a single room will be charged an extra $100 for the trip.

Please note: The travel insurance is part of the trip price and can't be removed. The coverage is very extensive. A copy of what is provided in the insurance is available by clicking on the Travel Insurance Policy link below.

Airfare: You are responsible for booking your own airfare. If you need help, email Nicole Batten. Plan to arrive at the Berlin airport no later than 10 a.m. on March 3. If you are coming from the U.S. you will need to leave on March 2 to arrive in time. Nicole Batten will meet you at the airport and escort you to the bus.  The trip will end in Munich on March 9. Plan to depart from the Munich airport. 

Deadline: A non-refundable deposit of $250 must be made by Nov. 22, 2010 to hold your spot. The remainder of the cost is due by February 1, 2011.

Special Requirements: This trip involves walking and climbing stairs, and the tourist sites are not ADA compliant in Germany. As such, we are not able to accommodate anyone using a walker or a wheel chair. Anyone over the age of 79 will be required to obtain additional travel insurance. A doctor's release may also be required.
